Hey y'all!  I wanted to start this update off with a huge thank you!  So many of y'all have been praying for us, and it shows. I'm excited about being able to share the goings on in this update. 

Let's start with the biggest praise of all: one of the folks KJ has been mentoring, who would not have called themself a Christian when they started is now ready to proudly declare that they are a follower of Jesus!  God is good! 

The Ellington crew has been up and down the road a LOT the last couple of months. In September, KJ, Sharon, and Barry attended the worship expo put on by the Baptist State Convention of NC. 

This month, KJ and Sharon attended the Send Network Gathering with many other church planters from the south region.  Send NC was well represented!  We were encouraged and taught, and sent back to our villages to do what God has called us to do. For KJ and I it was a great confirmation that slow and steady is working in our context, and a reminder to be the best church FOR Avon. 

Tomorrow night, we will get to meet for Bible Study in the Avon Fire Department.  As long as we are able to be flexible, they have given us permission to use the space, which is a huge answered prayer. 

please keep praying for Avon, and for our Bible Study as we move forward with the work God has for us.  Here are some specific requests:

-that we would be a blessing to the fire department where we meet.  We want to love on them and encourage them, not just because they let us use their building, but because we see and appreciate all they do for the community.

- off season relationship building.  That God would help us to see those He sees, and meet needs they have.

- That logistics work out for our core team to be able to attend the annual meeting of the NC Baptist State Convention in November to represent One Church, and connect with those in our convention.

- More support as we move forward with planning a worship service in this space God has provided for us.
