It's the most wonderful time of the year!

The Christmas season has definitely kept the Ellington family busy this year. After our thanksgiving meal, those in attendance requested we have a Christmas meal as well, so planning started for that.

We traveled to Raleigh for KJ to speak at our newest partner church Missio Dei, and were surprised when the Crum family showed up to worship with us!

Sharon baked over 300 cookies for our neighbors, and we had a blast knocking on doors, handing them out, and making new friends. We even had a few extra tins and were able to drop one off at the local Subway and our Vacasa office.  We got the sweetest thank you from the local Vacasa team.

On December 19, we held a Christmas service in place of Bible Study. Adrienne Crum set up a beautiful refreshment table and after a great time of worship, we got to visit with those in attendance. Jeremiah played his piano for one of our worship songs. There were 20 of us there, and several new folks that KJ and I had not yet met. Thank you to those of you who prayed for our service.

Thanks to a gift of toys from a partner of a partner church, we were able to bless three families with gifts for their children for Christmas.  This was done without fanfare to help parents who are struggling this season.

On Christmas Day, we hosted a Christmas Dinner inviting all on the island with no place to go. A huge thanks to our neighbors Stephanie & Eric, and our friends Tim Chapman and Adrienne Crum. Without them, there is no way we could've pulled it off. Our house was full of joy, laughter, and food!

We are so thankful for those of you partnering with us and allowing us to minister generously where God has called us. Without your gifts, we would not be able to love on our community in this way.

As we move into the new year, please pray for growth in those who are attending Bible study.  Pray for KJ as he received a grant and will start classes working towards a Masters in Church Planting at Southeastern Seminary. Pray for Sharon's small women's study as we will pick back up in the book of Proverbs after the first of the year. And also pray for clear direction for One Church as we move forward in the areas where God is leading.

We love you all and wish you a Happy New Year!
